Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a 36-hour schedule with day/night rotations and every other weekend/holiday rotation. The nurse must be MA-licensed, hold a BSN, and demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills while delivering patient- and family-centered care.

Experience in medical-surgical settings is preferred, with adherence to ICARE standards and collaboration with the care team under a nurse manager.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers preferred.
• Medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Evidence of basic analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
• Ability to adhere to ICARE standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care; assume full responsibility for the patient.
• Demonstrate initiative and clinical skills for patients with complex needs.
• Directly report to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.
