Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Registered Nurse for the 2 South inpatient psychiatric unit. The role involves planning and providing patient care for adolescents to geriatric patients in a multidisciplinary setting, with a rotating evening/night schedule and every-other-weekend coverage.

The RN must hold Massachusetts licensure and a Bachelor's in Nursing, with BLS preferred and at least one year in inpatient psychiatry.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Nursing is required.
Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers preferred.
A minimum of one-year inpatient psychiatry required.
The RN candidate has demonstrated an ability to work compassionately with persons who experience behavioral health issues on a secure inpatient psychiatric unit.
Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards.
Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and licensed alcohol and drug counselors.
Assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.
