Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program and RN licensure in the state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALs certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supervises patient care on Med/Surg; communicates with charge nurse and physicians.
• Prepares patients for examinations or procedures and assists physicians.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments and interprets patient data to plan care.
• Assesses and manages pain; educates patient and family on pain management.
• Administers medications safely and manages IV fluids per policy.
• Responds to changes in condition and initiates appropriate actions.
• Maintains documentation and handoffs; ensures CQI and performance improvement activities.
