Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct inpatient care on the night shift. You will collaborate with physicians and RNs, administer medications, and contribute to the patient care plan while documenting changes and educating patients and families.

Current LPN licensure in the state or via eNLC is required, along with BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of service or valid multi-state license via eNLC.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per the patient care plan.
• Assist physicians and RNs with examinations and procedures.
• Document patient data, observations and progress promptly.
• Administer IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulized and MDI medications as assigned.
• Contribute to nursing assessments by collecting and reporting data.
• Observe patient status and report deviations to the supervising clinician.
• Support patient and family education per teaching plan.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate with the health care team.
