UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct inpatient nursing care under physician oversight. You will implement the plan of care, assist in exams and procedures, and collaborate with the health care team to promote patient comfort and recovery.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license issued by the state or eNLC
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date
• State and federal background checks as required

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care based on the plan of care and in collaboration with the supervising RN or Respiratory Therapist.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures to assigned patients as needed.
• Observes, records and reports patient concerns, symptoms, and progress in a timely manner.
• Assists physicians and supervising staff with examinations and procedures.
• Contributes to nursing assessment by collecting and reporting data.
• Monitors patient condition and reports deviations from normal health status.
• Participates in developing and updating the plan of care with data and priorities.
• Assists in patient and family education and rehabilitation per teaching plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and responses to care for the health care team.
