Job summary

RMH Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, West Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct inpatient nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and physicians. You will support the care plan, administer medications, and assist in examinations and procedures as needed.

The role requires an active LPN license and BLS within 30 days, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license issued by the state or eNLC multi-state license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Background check (state & federal if applicable) as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatients per the care plan and guidance from the RN or Respiratory Therapist.
• Perform designated therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Observe and document patient status and report changes promptly.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Contribute to nursing assessment by collecting and recording data.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate deviations to the supervising nurse.
• Participate in developing and updating the plan of care with the team.
• Educate patients and families and assist with rehabilitation per teaching plan.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses in the health record.
• Administer IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulized and MDI medications as directed.
