Job summary

The Nurse Practitioner will serve as a high level professional whose activities will span the interface between the physicians and primary nurses who manage inpatients on the Liver Transplant Services at Moffitt-Long Medical Center, UCSF.

The NP will act as a full member of the Liver Transplant Team, taking primary responsibility for the safe delivery of care to inpatients in consultation with attending physicians, fellows and residents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and manages inpatient Liver Transplant patients independently or with physicians.
• Orders medications and diagnostic tests; documents in the EMR.
• Coordinates care across the multidisciplinary team and with discharge planning.
• Performs duties under UCSF Rules and Regulations and APP Billing Policy 3.08.01.
