Job summary

RPh on the Go in Tulsa, Oklahoma seeks an Inpatient IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire role in a home infusion environment. The position requires sterile compounding, medication dispensing, patient consultation, and supervision of staff from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday over a 13-week period.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• Experience in home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy settings.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and compliantly.
• Monitor patient medication compliance, ensuring proper usage and legal dispensing.
• Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate for each patient.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
• Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to maintain efficient workflow.
• Manage inventory levels for pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
