OU Health in McAlester is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II to support medication preparation, distribution, and sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision. The role involves ensuring accuracy, maintaining inventory, and assisting with IV admixtures and TPN in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of pharmacy technician experience, a valid Oklahoma technician permit within six weeks of hire, and strong computer and EMR skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum three years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Active pharmacy technician permit from Oklahoma Board within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares, labels, and delivers medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Independently fills ADCs, unit dose cassettes, and medication carts.
• Performs sterile and nonsterile compounding, including IV admixtures and TPN.
• Maintains inventory, crash carts, and decentralized locations.
• Enters and documents orders in the pharmacy system and EMR.
• Assists with batch preparation of sterile products and IV room support.
• Maintains cleanliness and inventory in assigned areas.
• Troubleshoots ADCs, barcode scanners, and workflows.
• Monitors inventory, expiration dates, and usage trends.
• Receives, checks in, and shelves medications and supplies.
• Participates in daily inventory counts and resolves discrepancies.
• Communicates with pharmacists and nurses to resolve issues.
• Supports onboarding and training of Pharmacy Technician I staff.
• Complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Completes annual skills assessments and competency validations.
