Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician III to support pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care, including IV admixture. You will train staff, coordinate performance improvement activities, and serve as a lead in multiple areas of pharmacy operations.

The role requires IV certification, hospital experience, and strong knowledge of unit-dose medications, PYXIS, and sterile product preparation. Shift is Mon-Fri 10:30a-7p with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Five years pharmacy experience required
• Valid IV Certification preferred
• ACPE I.V Certification/40-hour course preferred if handling sterile products

Responsibilities

• Select prescribed medications according to dosage and strength
• Deliver medications to patient care areas
• Stock and monitor drug inventory levels
• Inspect and maintain emergency medication trays
• Prepare intravenous antimicrobials, large-volume parenterals, TPNs and IV antineoplastics
• Document quality improvement activities for the IV room
• Ensure medications comply with technology safety checks
• Provide teaching/training/orientation for staff
