Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in providing patient care. The role includes technical and clerical duties in a hospital pharmacy with flexibility to work at multiple locations; IV certification is preferred.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, current Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacist intern registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and ACPE IV certification if possible.

Qualifications

• Three years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacist intern registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• ACPE IV Certification with completion of 40-hour course in IV admixture preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care.
• Perform technical and clerical duties in the operation of the Pharmacy.
• Prepare intravenous antimicrobials, TPN solutions, and sterile products when applicable.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and maintain inventory levels.
• Document quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with safety checks.
