Umcelpaso in El Paso, Texas, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for Infectious Disease to promote the appropriate utilization of antimicrobials and improve patient outcomes. This full-time role entails leading multidisciplinary rounds and overseeing pharmacy students while ensuring adherence to best practices in antimicrobial stewardship.

The ideal candidate will possess a Texas Pharmacy License, exceptional communication skills, and extensive pharmacy knowledge. Experience in acute care inpatient pharmacy is preferred, alongside certifications in infectious disease practices.

Formación

• Current Texas Pharmacy License required.
• Infectious Disease Certification from Board of Pharmacy Specialties, or obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Certification in ACPE accredited Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program.

Responsabilidades

• Lead efforts in promoting appropriate utilization of antimicrobial.
• Attend daily multidisciplinary rounds with the Infectious Disease consult service.
• Conduct quality improvement projects and scholarly activity.
