Job summary

St. Anthony’s Hospice in Henderson, KY is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the inpatient hospice team. This full-time role includes a weekend option (Friday–Sunday, 7am–7pm) and a base pay of $35–$45/hour with a $6/hour weekend differential.

The RN will provide comprehensive assessments, develop plans of care, administer medications, and educate patients and families while ensuring comfort and safety per Hospice regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
• Hospice, oncology, medical/surgical, critical care, long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive physical, psychosocial and nursing assessments for hospice patients.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and updates individualized Plans of Care.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Coordinates patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents care timely in the EMR system.
• Educates patients and caregivers regarding medications and hospice services.
