Job summary

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare is seeking an Registered Nurse – Inpatient to provide direct patient care for life-limiting illnesses across ages within our hospice setting. The RN will apply the Nursing Process to manage each patient’s Plan of Care, delegate duties to team members, and advance personal development in nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, either RN or BSN.
• Current license to practice nursing in North Carolina.
• Two years of experience; home care or hospice preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English and with patients/families.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Nursing Process to manage the Plan of Care for each patient.
• Provide education to the patient/family according to the Plan of Care.
• Document and communicate information per agency policies and regulations.
• Supervise Hospice Aide and delegate tasks to team members.
• Organize work and maintain schedule to support team performance.
