Job summary

Alive Hospice, Inc. in Murfreesboro is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit in a PRN capacity. The RN will provide hospice care, serve as case manager for assigned patients, and work with the IDT to implement the hospice plan of care while supervising Care Partners and LPNs.

Requirements include a current TN RN license with 30 days to apply for licensure, and a BSN is preferred. One year of nursing experience is required; hospice or home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Minimum one year nursing practice or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hospice care; oncology or home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and standards.
• In collaboration with IDT, develop and implement hospice plan of care.
• Administer medications and educate patients/families on hospice and signs of approaching death.
• Supervise LPNs and Care Partners; ensure continuity of care.
• Complete documentation per procedures and standards; report significant changes to Charge Nurse.
