Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks an Inpatient Hospice Aide to provide comprehensive personal care under a Plan of Care. The role schedules 24 hours per week with night shifts, including Mondays to Wednesdays and Wednesdays to Fridays.

Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, transfers, ROM, wound care assistance, and documentation while communicating with patients’ families and staff. High school diploma and HHA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED and completion of a training program.
• Two years of HHA experience in a Medicare Certified program required.
• Certified Nurse Aide/Personal Care Aide/Home Health Aide experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Gives or assists with bathing, dressing, oral care, nails and skin care.
• Assists with elimination using bedpan or urinal, commode or bathroom.
• Assists with eating and meal preparation including special diets.
• Assists with positioning, transfers and ambulation.
• Assists with prescribed range of motion and exercises as taught by staff.
