Job summary

UC Irvine Health in Fountain Valley, CA seeks a gastroenterologist with General GI to provide high-quality patient care across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings. The role includes EGD and colonoscopy with polypectomy; ERCP and/or EUS are not required.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Primary responsibilities include ED and inpatient coverage and expanding outpatient clinical care at UCI Health community clinical sites in Fountain Valley and other UCI

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board-certified.
• California medical license and DEA certification required.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate with faculty, residents, and staff.
• Commitment to UC Irvine Health policies and procedures.
• Active engagement in clinical care across ED and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Department and inpatient coverage.
• Expand outpatient clinical care at UCI Health sites in Fountain Valley and beyond.
• Perform GI procedures as listed (EGD and colonoscopy with polypectomy).
