Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is hiring an APP (ARNP/PA-C) for inpatient general surgery. This full-time role includes day shifts, weekends and holidays, with potential for 2–3 night shifts per month.

Work spans inpatient units and the emergency department with guidance from attending physicians and department leaders. Candidates include Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who hold relevant state licensure, national certification, BLS, and eligibility for hospital staff appointments.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in nursing (ARNP)
• Washington State ARNP license with prescriptive privileges
• ACNP certification or FNP with 3+ years APP/provider experience in acute care

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to patients and families
• Serve as resource for health care providers
• Participate in research and teaching programs
• Work in inpatient units and ED 7 days a week with independence under supervision
