Job summary

Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) at Stein Forensic Hospital in Las Vegas seeks a Licensed Psychologist 1 for advanced clinical work in a secure inpatient facility.

You will conduct testing, evaluations and psychotherapy, provide crisis intervention, and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning while supervising doctoral trainees and interns as part of an APA-accredited internship program.

Qualifications

• Must hold a doctoral degree in psychology and be licensed to practice in Nevada.
• Post-doctoral experience in inpatient, outpatient, or residential settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ethical and legal standards in psychology practice.

Responsibilities

• Administer, score, and interpret a wide range of tests to evaluate clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as per agency policies.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy and substance abuse counseling.
• Provide clinical supervision for trainees and interns as assigned.
