Job summary

Med Source Consultants is seeking an Advanced Practitioner for inpatient diabetes and endocrinology coverage in Hartford, CT. Per diem shifts include 5-10 hours with a minimum of 2 weekends per month and no on-call requirements.

We welcome Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners with CT license or eligibility. The role supports an integrated endocrinology service within a large non-profit medical system, featuring EPIC and a dedicated Office of Advanced Practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible).
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in endocrinology setting.
• Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient diabetes and complex endocrinology populations across all service lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for implementation of treatment and discharge planning.
• Set per diem schedule with minimum 2 weekends per month; shifts 5-10 hours.
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans.
• Provide appropriate treatment within defined scope of practice per established protocols.
