Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Dialysis unit at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. You will plan and provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, or CRRT, following medical and nursing plans and policies.

The role offers rotating 12-hour shifts, opportunities for growth, and a culture of safety and collaboration with physicians and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited bachelor's degree in nursing (or higher) or ADN or Nursing Diploma.
• Current NC RN license or compact license.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and adapt to a high-acuity dialysis unit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Assist other healthcare personnel in patient care delivery.
• Maintain environment of care, equipment, and resources; prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Engage in professional development and support staff education.
• Support staff development and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
