Job summary

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
• CMS/state or CMS timeline certification requirements within the state.
• Ishihara color blindness test required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under direct supervision of the Hemodialysis RN in the dialysis suite.
• Report and document incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the RN.
• Set up and prime equipment as directed for renal replacement therapies.
• Ensure dialysis machines are correctly set up, tested, and safe for treatment.
• Take pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weights; report unusual findings.
• Document patient treatment information in EMS/ACES records.
• Monitor intradialytic progress and intervene as ordered by the physician or RN.
• Adhere to Code of Business Conduct and company policies; participate in quality improvement activities.
