Base pay range

$137,439.00/yr - $167,981.00/yr

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Inpatient Consultant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Validation and application of software modules relating to coding and training
• Collaborating with the coding and clinical team members and external clients, including content creation
• Assisting in presenting clinical and coding concepts to various hospitals and/or organizations and implementing and supporting Clinical Documentation Integrity programs in multiple facilities
• Leading audit tasks of medical record coding, documentation, compliance, and DRG assignment
• Participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives and ensuring compliance with professional, quality, and security standards while acting in accordance with 3M’s values and ethical standards

Your Skills And Expertise

To succeed in this role, Solventum requires (at a minimum):

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (verified prior to start) and seven (7) years of experience as a coding professional or acute care clinical experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of experience as a coding professional or acute care clinical experience

AND

• RHIT OR CCS certification with five (5) years of clinical coding experience with a CCDS or CDIP certification, or five (5) years of acute care CDI experience with a CCDS or CDIP certification
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include:

• Master's degree in HIM, Nursing, or a related healthcare field from an accredited institution
• Valid RN License with five (5) years of acute care experience
• Experience in consulting, telecommuting, working with EMRs, and current chart auditing skills
• Knowledge of Solventum HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Work location: Remote USA

Travel: Up to 50% domestically
