The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Inpatient Consultant, you will collaborate with diverse teams and make an impact by:

  • Validating and applying software modules related to coding and training
  • Collaborating with coding, clinical teams, and external clients, including content creation
  • Presenting clinical and coding concepts to hospitals and organizations, supporting Clinical Documentation Integrity programs
  • Leading audits of medical records, coding, documentation, compliance, and DRG assignments
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, standards, and ethical practices
Your Skills and Expertise

To succeed, Solventum requires (at a minimum):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and seven (7) years of experience as a coding professional or in acute care clinical experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of relevant experience

AND

  • RHIT or CCS certification with five (5) years of clinical coding experience, or CCDS/CDIP certification with five (5) years of acute care CDI experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Additional helpful qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in HIM, Nursing, or related healthcare field
  • Valid RN License with five (5) years of acute care experience
  • Experience with EMRs, chart auditing, and consulting
  • Knowledge of Solventum HIS software (360 Encompass)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills

  • Remote USA
  • Up to 50% domestic travel

The expected salary range is $137,439 - $167,981, plus benefits. Specific offers depend on experience and location.
