Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an inpatient coder.
• Knowledge/understanding of modifiers, medical necessity & CCI edits.
• Certification required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, or CIC.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for accurate billing.
• Audit charges and establish coding with providers.
• Respond to Insurance and compliance denials.
