Job summary

FusionHCR is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to ensure accurate coding of complex inpatient records, supporting reimbursement, data integrity, research, and regulatory reporting. • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Certified CCS, RHIA or RHIT credentials are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code and abstract inpatient records per guidelines.
• Review documentation for completeness and coding accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Review coding-related denials and follow up.
• Perform data collection, queries, and reports.
• Operate 3M 360 or similar coding systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and work with stakeholders across departments.
