Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri is seeking an Inpatient II Coder for a PRN position. The coder will assign inpatient codes, review documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and DRG assignments. 2–5 years of inpatient coding experience and CCS/RHIA/RHIT certification are required.

The role involves querying providers for clarification, collaborating with CDI and HIM teams, and staying current with coding changes. Remote eligibility is specified for certain states; MO is included.

The Inpatient Coder II assigns diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient encounters, while adhering to all regulatory guidelines. This position demonstrates knowledge of complex medical and coding concepts.
