Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Adult Inpatient day shift at Javon Bea Hospital – Riverside. The role involves direct patient care, documenting care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, assisting with monitoring devices, BGM, and assisting with catheter care and other procedures under RN supervision. Requires CNA certification and CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
• Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor.
• Indwelling catheters: care and output measures.
• Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the supervising RN.
