Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to join the Riverside facility. You will provide direct patient care, respond to call lights, document care, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will float to multiple units as needed and participate in performance improvement activities under supervision. The role requires CNA certification in the applicable state, completion of a CNA program, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
• Attaches patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor.
• Discontinues invasive devices under direction of supervising RN.
