Job summary

Sunrise Vista Behavioral Health - Canton is seeking an Inpatient Therapist to guide patients from crisis to stability with structured, evidence‑based care. The role requires a master’s degree with state licensure and involves delivering CBT/DBT groups, discharge planning, and coordinated aftercare.

You will float between units, document progress, and build strong rapport with patients and teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with state licensure required.
• 1+ year inpatient or acute behavioral health experience preferred.
• Strong group therapy and crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete therapy assessments and treatment plans within regulatory timeframes.
• Facilitate daily groups (CBT/DBT/psychoeducation), family sessions, and discharge planning.
• Coordinate aftercare with community providers; remove barriers to continuity.
• Document progress notes that reflect measurable goals and outcomes.
• Float between units/shifts to cover needs; learn new routines quickly.
• Build rapport fast with patients and teams while maintaining consistency of care.
