Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Strategic Medical Director Inpatient to drive clinical program design and innovation across health plans, health systems, and ACOs. You will translate clinical strategy into technology-enabled solutions, evangelize Cohere's vision, and partner with Product and Engineering to shape policy and logic.

This remote-first role may require travel to Boston, MA for onboarding and meetings.

Qualifications

Must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program (Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred).
Active, unrestricted medical license in any US state.
Active board certification in primary specialty.
5+ years of clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship; inpatient experience preferred.
5+ years in managed care/clinical strategy or payer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

Lead vision and evolution of clinical and digital care management offerings as SME.
Use market data and patient analytics to improve clinical delivery with new technology.
Serve as physician leader for inpatient clinical program development.
Create research packages and cultivate external partnerships and vendors as needed.
Collaborate with Growth, Product, Analytics, and Operations teams on new projects.
Support client-facing discussions with executive presence and clinical credibility.
Travel up to 10% for prospective client meetings and onboarding.
