Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health seeks an inpatient Clinical Pharmacist for rotating days and evenings at Elmhurst Main Hospital. The role is full-time with approx. 75% day shifts and 25% evening shifts; weekend and holiday rotation required.

The pharmacist coordinates clinical services, supports new workflows, and oversees staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ideal candidates hold a PharmD (ACPE-accredited) with residency or 5+ years of clinical pharmacy experience, Illinois licensure, CPR, and

Qualifications

• PharmD from ACPE-accredited school (preferred).
• Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience, or a minimum of five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License.
• Current CPR certification within six weeks of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal daily care.
• Assist in developing new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
• Facilitate staff education and development to ensure competency.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel to maintain programs.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in job duties.
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems that promote safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
