Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist (PRN) to join its Pharmacy team. The role focuses on ensuring accurate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders in an inpatient setting.

This position offers flexible shifts (8- or 10-hour) with minimum one shift per month, opportunities to educate staff and students, and a collaborative environment within a Magnet Hospital recognized for nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Inpatient experience is required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification and immunization administration training (or exemption) within 90 days.
• ACLS and/or PALS certification, within one year if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.
