Job summary

The role includes supervising medication distribution, supporting Pharmacy quality initiatives, training staff, and precepting students while adhering to hospital policies and formulary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Doctor of Pharmacy or RPH.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles for dosing.
• Monitor patients for response to medications.
• Identify and document adverse drug events and near misses.
• Promote compliance with hospital formulary and policies.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Assures appropriateness of drug therapy and policy compliance.
• Oversees distribution of medications.
• Supports quality processes for Pharmacy services.
• Trains staff and precepts students as assigned.
