Job summary
Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a Pharmacist to join the inpatient pharmacy team. The role emphasizes medication safety, clinical excellence, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams across the hospital.
You will handle unit-dose dispensing, sterile IV compounding, Omnicell cabinet operations, and provide patient counseling. Requires Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy, state license, and completion of a Health System Pharmacy
Qualifications
- Minimum Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Active license to practice pharmacy in state of practice (and able to dispense controlled substances).
- Immunization certification if site requires it; strong knowledge of state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for allergies, interactions, duplications and appropriateness.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to optimize therapy and ensure safe dispensing.
- Supervise interns, technicians and support staff; provide clinical consultation as needed.
- Promote medication education, adherence, and patient counseling; ensure regulatory documentation.
