Assess, interpret, plan, monitor, and document the nutritional status and needs of patients using evidence-based standards, policies, and guidelines. Perform nutrition-focused physical exams, identify and provide age-specific nutritional care, and consider cultural needs of patients and families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans aimed at achieving health goals.
Educate patients, caregivers, students, and healthcare colleagues on therapeutic diets and nutrition support to maintain or improve nutritional status.
Support and supervise daily infant formula preparation, including recipe identification and calculation to meet infants' nutritional needs, when assigned.
Participate in departmental activities to enhance patient satisfaction.
Stay current with nutrition research and incorporate findings into daily practice. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Family & Consumer Science with ACEND accreditation.
Preferred: Master’s Degree.
Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as a Dietitian with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Registration and licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $58,240 - $78,478.40 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and peer comparisons.
