Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $48.00/hr

The Registered Dietitian will provide Medical Nutrition Education via telehealth to one of our Health Plan Client's members. You will do remote phone outreach to applicants of their meal program, complete their nutritional/medical profile, and submit their profile for program acceptance. You will take about 3 calls per hour, with 90% of your time doing these profiling tasks and the other 10% doing administrative work or attending meetings.

Looking for someone generally tech savvy, with experience managing a high volume of patients (inpatient or dialysis experience preferred), and who can start ASAP.

This is a 3-month contract covering a Leave of Absence (LOA) - with high potential to extend further based on team needs.

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years providing direct diabetes and/or nutrition counseling services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• An interest in and knowledge of the scientific aspects of food and nutrition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage members effectively.
• The ability to explain complex ideas simply.
• A willingness to stay updated with current nutrition information and research.
• Master's Degree in Nutrition (or equivalent education and/or experience).

Preferred:

• Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan’s threshold languages, such as Spanish, Armenian, or Russian, is highly desirable.
