The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the inpatient team at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin.

This 0.5 FTE inpatient position combines with a 0.5 FTE toward outpatient services or other program interests, with opportunities for education, research, and program development within a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Texas medical license or eligibility.
• Board-certified in general psychiatry and board-eligible/certified in child/adolescent psychiatry with commitment to certification within 2 years of fellowship.
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging by Ascension Seton and local health authority.
• Appointment as Assistant Professor or higher in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents (ages 6-17) within a trauma-informed, family-centered, multidisciplinary model.
• Collaborate with pediatric psychologists, psychiatrically trained nurses, social workers, and other allied professionals; participate in on-call coverage.
• Engage in education across disciplines - medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students, and trainees.
• Contribute to clinical programming, quality improvement, and team-based research.
• This position is 0.5 FTE inpatient psychiatry, combined with 0.5 FTE tailored to interests (e.g., outpatient services, CL psychiatry, or community mental health).
