Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a Manager of Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) to lead the inpatient CDI program, ensuring accurate and complete documentation to support SOI, ROM, and compliant reimbursement. The role collaborates with physicians, coding, case management, and quality teams to optimize documentation across the enterprise.

The position requires extensive CDI experience, leadership capabilities, and proficiency with Epic CDI platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Clinical Documentation Integrity experience.
• Minimum three years of progressive leadership experience in CDI or related healthcare operations.
• Experience working with physician engagement and clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
• Comprehensive knowledge of inpatient CDI practices and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding principles.
• Experience with integrated delivery systems or large multihospital health systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day inpatient CDI program operations and strategy.
• Ensure integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical documentation.
• Monitor KPIs, drive process improvements, and promote physician engagement.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, coding, case management, and quality teams.
• Mentor CDI staff and align CDI goals with enterprise objectives.
