Qualifications

• Requires 3–5 years of coding experience and 3–5 years utilization review experience.
• Minimum ASN in nursing; RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Improve overall quality, completeness and compliance of clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and coding staff to support DRG accuracy.
• Ensure documentation supports patient outcomes and DRG assignments.
• Conduct initial and concurrent reviews on admissions and monitor patient status.
• Serve as resource to physicians and coding regarding inpatient DRG issues.
