Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a compassionate nursing assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain patient comfort and safety on the inpatient unit.

You will document care in the electronic medical record, communicate clearly with patients and families, support unit operations, and participate in rounds and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Basic mathematics and computer skills.
• Preferred: ACS/BSN program enrollment with clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care and activities of daily living.
• Performs vital signs, measurements, specimen collection and routine testing.
• Documents care in EMR and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Responds to emergencies and supports care team as assigned.
