Job summary

ERC Pathlight in Texas is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct inpatient and residential care under nursing supervision. You’ll maintain milieu, support meals, assist with daily living, and help implement therapeutic programs during three 12-hour shifts per week.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license in locations that require it, and 6 months of direct patient care experience (1 year for more advanced placement).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record (location dependent).
• 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience required for BHT II.

Responsibilities

• Milieu management and maintaining daily program structure.
• Observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by physician.
• Assist with de-escalation and coping skills per treatment plan.
• Conduct room searches and luggage searches.
• Provide patient transportation and meal support as needed.
