Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO is seeking an onsite Behavioral Health Technician to support a safe, therapeutic milieu under a registered nurse. You will monitor patients, document coping strategies, and assist with the care plan in inpatient, ED or ambulatory settings.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of behavioral health experience, CPI within 30 days, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or UCHealth competency test.
• 1 year of related Behavioral Health experience required.
• Advanced CPI within 30 days and annual recertification.
• BLS/CPR from AHA or Red Cross with valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment with care team.
• Monitor and document patient coping and provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Contribute to plan of care and carry it out with supervision.
• Follow instructions and guidelines; work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in a fast-paced setting.
