Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients with behavioral health needs. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in the inpatient, emergency department or ambulatory setting by performing milieu management.

This onsite, full-time role at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins offers a 72-hour per pay period schedule with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related Behavioral Health experience required.
• Advanced CPI within 30 days of hire.
• BLS/ CPR card must be valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms and provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Contribute input to the plan of care and assist in its execution for assigned clients.
