Job summary

Maple Heights Behavioral Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN opportunity to provide and coordinate care for patients with physical and behavioral health needs.

The role requires an RN license, 1 year of nursing experience (psychiatric/behavioral or substance use preferred), and CPR/de-escalation certification. Orientation week is required with days/nights/weekends available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required by state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Administer medications per orders and document controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Display therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate with staff.
