Job summary

Open position requires assessment and coordination of multidisciplinary care, crisis intervention, and patient-family education to support treatment goals in a compassionate behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire.
• Current Iowa RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within 3 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for geriatric psychiatric patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Promote safety by implementing de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
