UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA is seeking an experienced RN for the Mental Health Unit. This 21-bed adult inpatient unit provides comprehensive care with a multidisciplinary team.

We offer a full-time day shift (7a-7p) with shift differentials and a $10,000 sign-on bonus, plus benefits including paid time off, 401K matching, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance to help you grow your career.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
• Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth. Able to meet the physical demands on file in the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities

• To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse or LPN skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance.
• To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital.
• To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise
