University Behavioral Center, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee coordinated patient care in alignment with standard practices and hospital policy. You will supervise nursing staff and contribute to educational and Quality Improvement efforts.

You will ensure adequate staffing, collaborate with physicians, manage budgeted FTEs, and uphold safety, risk, and infection control protocols while guiding clinical teams through care plans and crisis situations.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65+ years.
• Work hours: 12-hour shifts; day or night shift; rotating weekends.

Responsabilités

• Ensure adequate staffing on the unit to meet patient demand and adjust as needed.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and resolve unit issues promptly.
• Manage unit FTEs and overtime with regard to budget and financial impact.
• Demonstrate exemplary communication skills with staff and patients.
• Adhere to risk management and infection control policies and procedures.
• Intervene in crisis situations appropriately.
• Conduct ad hoc treatment team meetings; monitor treatment plans for completion and accuracy.
