Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, AZ seeks a Nurse Practitioner to oversee quality of care for patients across inpatient, partial, and intensive outpatient programs. You will assess admissions, perform psychiatric assessments, document care, and provide therapy and medication management as needed.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with Arizona PMH APRN licensure or PMHCNS-BC, and have at least two years of mental health experience; CPR certification

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Board Certification Preferred (if seeing Medicare patients) Medicare requires board certification.
• Arizona License as a Psychiatric/Mental Health APRN or Psychiatric Mental Health Certified Nurse Specialist – Board Certified (PMHCNS-BC) or ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center
• Prior experience in a hospital based psychiatric practice and outpatient psychiatric practice preferred
• Must maintain active status with medical staff and obey Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.
• Maintain current professional license
• Where applicable, maintain current liability insurance
• Current AZ State Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Minimum two years’ experience in mental health.
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be certified in CPR upon hire and bi-annually thereafter and must possess or obtain and be able to perform Handle With Care within 30 days of hire and re-certify as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the quality of care delivered to patients.
• Assess clinical appropriateness for admission and collaborate with Intake / Admissions regarding potential admissions.
• Perform psychiatric assessments for individuals under care.
• Complete documentation for civil commitment patients.
• Provide individual therapy, family therapy and/or medication management as needed.
• Request consultations when indicated and provide psychiatric consultations when requested.
