Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced clinician to support inpatient behavioral health units with counseling, treatment planning, and discharge planning. The role emphasizes individual, group, and family therapy, collaborating with the treatment team to achieve goals.

The incumbent will document progress using the DAIR format, participate in staffing and discharge planning, and ensure patient advocacy throughout the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
• Licensed LCPC or LCSW per Illinois IDFPR.
• CPI training within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with DAIR documentation format.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Code, HIPAA, guardianship and custody laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to support treatment goals.
• Offer individual counseling per treatment plan.
• Lead at least one group therapy session weekly.
• Engage families in treatment at least twice weekly.
• Provide family counseling per treatment plan (adult/geriatric).
• Apply CBT and brief therapies as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, legible documentation in DAIR format.
• Assist with milieu management and admissions when census is low.
